ASSOCIATION & CHAPTER COMMITTEES
COMMUNITY OUTREACH - Association
Organizes, promotes and raises funds for the SEBAR Charitable Foundation a 501(c)(3). This committee will select all charitable fundraising events, dates and locations of functions. Funds raised each year will be donated to charitable organizations within the Downriver and Monroe Communities.
DIVERSITY & INCLUSION/FAIR HOUSING - Association
Promotes equal opportunity and cultural diversity, equity and inclusion within SEBAR and the communities we serve. Plans annual recognition of Fair Housing month and promotes Fair Housing compliance throughout the year.
GOLF OUTING TASK FORCE – Association
Plans and organizes the annual golf outing and dinner including all events and games to be held during the outing. All funds raised are donated to the SEBAR Charitable Foundation.
LEGISLATIVE/GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS (RPAC) - Chapters
Reviews all legislative or regulatory issues and political affairs on a local, state and national level for the Association or Chapter and all active members. Recommends any action that may be needed to the Association Board of Directors for approval. Participates in interviewing political candidates for possible funding and is responsible for ensuring the Association is meeting its State and National RPAC goal.
MEMBERSHIP/MEMBER SERVICES - Association
Develops programs to promote membership in the Association, monitors needs and concerns of the members, identify activities to increase current members' satisfaction, plan annual member appreciation picnic as well as awards program.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - Association
Responsible for providing general educational programs and projects, including cooperating with the extension services of the colleges and universities, and other Associations; also, to provide educational service for all new and active members.
YPN (Your Professional Network) - Association
Empowers young and new real estate professionals to excel in their careers through leadership, community outreach, networking, professional development and advocacy. The YPN is the foundation for the future of the real estate profession.
- Cultivate future leaders of our local, state and national associations and within our community.
- Provide forward-thinking and network based educational opportunities.
- Work in collaboration with other REALTOR® & community professional networks.
- Raise awareness and money for RPAC.
THE FOLLOWING COMMITTEES for REALTOR® MEMBERS ONLY:
BUDGET & FINANCE - Association
Responsible for preparing and reviewing the budget and for making recommendations to the Association Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall be the Chairman of the Committee.

BY-LAWS & POLICY: - Association
Identifies and evaluates issues of legal liability relevant to the real estate industry and recommends methods of reducing or eliminating such liabilities. Additionally, the committee explores and recommends methods of practices, which can result in reducing the risk of exposure to legal problems by the membership including working with the Professional Development Committee to educate and assist the members of the Association on the Fair Housing Laws and the Affirmative Marketing Program according to the Affirmative Marketing Agreement.
GRIEVANCE/PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS - Association
The Grievance Committee is responsible for reviewing written complaints received by the Association to possibly move forward to the Professional Standards Committee for a hearing.
The Professional Standards Committee/Panel sit in judgement and render impartial decisions upon complaints of unethical conduct and arbitration which has been sent forth from the Grievance Committee.
